On March 17, 2014 a joint session of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada ofUkraine on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine headed by the Minister Igor Shvaika took place.
Opening the meeting Kaletnik G.M reported that the Committee positively appreciates the dynamic and effective steps of the Minister Igor Shvaika, who from the first days efficiently arranged the management vertical of the power of the Ministry and adopted a number of decisions that have a positive impact on the development of spring field work in Ukraine.
Thus, strengthening of the personnel of PSC "State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine" and decisions concerning management and organizational structure of the activity of the corporation will provide an opportunity to establish clear rules for it’s activity in the domestic and foreign markets including obligations to China.
It is important to support the activity of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences ofUkraine. On this occasion, the Minister said: "If you do not want to finance someone's foreign producer, so finance the ukrainian science."
The subject of the discussion were the questions of a special tax treatment of agribusiness, financial support for the development of livestock and crop sectors, loans, terms and cost of registration of leases of land shares, the prospects of the activity of State Land Bank and the market of land.
For all the questions the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Igor Shvaika gave reasoned and candid answers.
The Minister expressed his wish for closer cooperation with the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations.
In conclusion, the Chairman of the Committee Grygorii Kaletnik expressed: "We should jointly and promptly resolve problems connecting with the agricultural sector of the state. Together with our hardworking farmers, skilled managers of the agricultural sector we should guarantee food security in the country and form significant export potential of agricultural production, which is to fill up currency to the country!"
