On January 31, 2014 the meeting of the Academic Council of the university, chaired by the President of VNAU Grygorii Kaletnik took place.

The meeting began with pleasant moments - the best students of the University and Colleges of VNAU on the results of competitive commission were rewarded with the awards of the President of the university and money premiums. Young students have deserved these awards as they are the best in educational, cultural process, sports life and others.

Grygorii Kaletnik presented certificate of the professor to Yurii Viktorovich Legun.

During the meeting were discussed current issues on the organization of extracurricular work of students at the Center of culture and leisure, work and prospects of development of the Department of Administrative Management and State Administration; work of specialized academic councils, the main points of licensing in providing educational services for obtaining higher education level of "bachelor", "specialist" and "master" in such specialties as "Law", "Horticulture and viticulture", "Energy management and audit in agricultural production", "Food technology and Engineering", "Aquaculture", "Finance and credit" etc.

Also, the themes of candidates’ theses for 70 graduate students were discussed and approved.

The President of VNAU told about his plans for the future concerning development and reconstruction of the buildings on the territory of the university’s campus.

The theme of the warming of university’s buildings and replacement of windows for energy saving has caused the necessity for creation of cloakrooms and warmth-keeping passages between the buildings. The members of the Academic Council discussed the plans of arrangement of comfortable halls - hairdressers, beauty salons, health centers, as well as a special café, where students and teaching staff can enjoy fragrant coffee, tea and gain skills of preparation and consumption of these beverages. To do this, the best specialists will conduct master classes.

Also Grygorii Kaletnik highlights the urgent topic of the present - a difficult situation that has happened in the country today. It can not be dramatized, as well as you can’t remain aloof or react calmly towards it.

He mentioned: "This situation has its roots. And I, as a people’s deputy, during all meetings of factions constantly brought attention of my colleagues about the negative trends developing in the society caused by a bad attitude of most officials at all levels for people, existence of bribery, rudeness, callousness, too high taxes. Corruption and raiding are flourishing.

The problem is also that many of them use their positions for their own enrichment and not for the economic development of our country and improving of the living standards of our citizens. "

That’s why extremist, radical actions and seizure of administrative buildings in the capital and regions that will not bring improvement for the development of the state and our citizens are not criticized by people because of the above mentioned errors of our authorities. Of course, the authorities should make conclusions from these hard lessons. Grygorii Kaletnik is convinced that Ukrainians, who are always distinguished by kindness, neighborliness, hard work, sincerity, all together can overcome this difficult history’s page of building of an independent state and form a new civil society, which in the future will instantly react to the errors of authorities and will nоt accumulate frustration and anger, and then, without discrimination, destroy everything and punish the guilty and the innocent.

He noted: "I think that we will peacefully solve this situation especially after adoption in the Verkhovna Rada ofUkrainethe Law "On Amnesty". Also we came to an agreement according to adoption of amendments to the Constitution, which foresee a transition to a parliamentary-presidential republic. These measures should balance the situation and become a bridge of trust and peace between people, government, opposition and radicals. Now even opposition leaders cannot influence on the actions of the right sector."

In conclusion, the President of Vinnytsia National Agrarian University Grygorii Kaletnik thanked the staff and students of the University who demonstrated their conscious, responsible, peaceful position during these events. He wished them to continue to be an example of stability and harmony!
