On 6-7th December, 2013 President of All-Ukrainian scientific-educational consortium, President of Vinnytsia National Agrarian University, an academician Grygorii Kaletnik visited The Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra. He made acquainted with the conditions of studying, living, resting of students in Slovak University and visited the unique assembly hall (the building is noted as one of the greatest in Slovakia in the twentieth century.).
Rector of Slovak University Prof. Peter Belik, Vice President for The International and Public Relations and Communications Prof. Helena Gorska , the chief editor of the university newspaper Renata Chostraviovoi, First Vice - president of All-Ukrainian scientific-educational consortium, Director of the Institute of Sugar Beet and Energy Crops NAASU, an academician Mykola Royik, Prof. of VNAU Prutska Olena negotiated on prospects of cooperation between Vinnytsia National Agrarian University and Slovak agricultural University.
Particular attention was drawn to experience of The Slovak Agricultural University in the frames of their work in Visegrad University Association, branches of activities of the center " Agrobiotekh ", peculiarities of functioning in the structure of the University of educational and production agricultural enterprises, publishing of scientific journals, including «Visegrad Journal on bioeconomy and sustainable development».
As a result the agreements on cooperation between All-Ukrainian scientific-educational consortium, Vinnytsia National Agrarian University and Slovak Agricultural University were signed.
Grygorii Kaletnik noted that both agreements will strengthen cooperation in educational, research and extension spheres in the agricultural sector of both countries and will create favorable conditions for the spread of international experience among scientists, teaching staff and students of both countries.
The Agreement foresee common cooperation in joint educational, research projects, exchange of a highly qualified teaching staff, students, scientific and methodical literature between Vinnytsia National Agrarian University and Slovak Agricultural University.
Special attention is paid to common projects in the development and implementation of agrobiotechnologies between the universities.
During the visit, all the necessary documents for joining of Vinnytsia National Agrarian University to Visegrad University Association (an organization which aim is to form a common platform for cooperation, remove barriers in education, science and research activities between the partner - countries) were submitted.
