On 15th November, 2013 Grygorii Kaletnik participated in a meeting with Ukraine Heroes in the field of agriculture, which took place on the professional holiday - Day of Agriculture. He congratulated the leading farmers with their professional holiday and took part in the discussion of the main issues of domestic agriculture.
The Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine informed the venerable and distinguished farmers, that the Committee is working on analysis and monitoring the thorniest issues. The main sources of such information are agricultural territorial communities, farmers, individual households, voters and citizens.
He emphasized that the number one task for Ukrainian agriculture - is to defend the coming years special tax treatment. It is necessary to encourage the processing of agricultural products inside the country and not change into a raw appendage to other countries.
He informed that the Committee controls the given question, forms various legislative initiatives that will be introduced in the near future.
Grygorii Kaletnik said: "At present situation in the country, we should improve land legislation. If the goal is to capitalize the Ukrainian land, then we can sow sunflower, soybean, corn, those cultures which will be profitable for export-oriented enterprises, traders, and we have enough of them. If the main purpose is preservation and development of the native land - then we must act in such a direction as you are, dear heroes of Ukraine.
Grygorii Kaletnik proposed to the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Prisyazhiuk M.V. to appeal jointly to the Prime Minister of Ukraine with the situation on the bills of trade.
At the end of the speech Grygorii Kaletnik again greeted everyone with the professional holiday - Day of Agriculture, thanked the heroes of Ukraine - the best workers for their tireless, dedicated work and wished them happiness, good health and fruitful joint work for further development of Ukraine.
