On 22th October, Grygorii Kaletnik took part in the II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Bioenergy: growing of bioenergy crops, production and usage of biofuels" at the institute of bio energy cultures and sugar beets of NAASU. The conference was held with the participation of academicians of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, foreign colleagues from Switzerland and the United States and scientists of Vinnytsia National Agrarian University (VNAU), who had a possibility to get acquainted with the educational, scientific and practical bases of the Institute, which is included together with VNAU into the All-Ukrainian scientific and research consortium.

There was discussed the development of biofuel production and usage in Ukraine, biofuels market, its raw materials basis, production technologies and their effective usage in connection with the possibility of adaption of consumers to use bioenergy resources in exchange of fossil hydrocarbons, which remained for the next 30-40 years.

Grygorii Kaletnik said: "We need, as a country, which has enormous potential of raw materials bases for the production of biofuels, biological types of fuel, instead of oil bases, seized strategically. For example we can take Brazil, which dependable country from import turned into a country, which provides her needs for petroleum products and currently at all don’t buys barrels of oil. Production of liquid biofuels from biomass solved the problem not only of energy security, but also stabilized the activities of the agricultural sector. This is also important for Ukraine's important, especially for the sugar-beet industry."
