Today begins the next phase of parliamentary debates concerning cancellation of the people’s deputies’ benefits.

Some MPs propose to adopt a law on the abolishment of benefits, others - publish information on that they don’t use official delegation halls and trip tickets to the Verkhovna Rada sanatorium.

In my opinion, this is a part of public relations and populism. Such statements and suggestions are repeated almost every year by the deputies of different convocations.

As a majoritarian deputy, for all the years of working as a deputy, I hear all this over and over again; all the salaries and additional payments I put into the solving of specific cases in the district and beyond its borders.

I spend this money every year for buying gifts for St. Nicholas Day and New Year, for school students, preschool children, teaching and technical staff of schools and kindergarten teachers. This is almost 30,000 gifts.

In the Day of Armed Forces of Ukraine I give the gifts to 529 defenders of our country and 567 - internationalist soldiers, their families and widows.

Every year in the International Women's Day 2855 women receive gifts.

I give operating coats to the medical professionals of the region and villages; funds for drugs and medical support which is realized with the help of our doctors in frames of the medical and diagnostic project “Free medicine for every family”. For good and proper functioning of this project were purchased 10 automobiles, ultrasonic diagnosis equipment, electrocardiographs, glucometers and everything necessary for the citizens’ survey.

That is why, I advise you to spend more money on helping people in the districts and then you will not be ashamed of receiving money in the Verkhovna Rada.
