Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations - Grygoii Kaletnik talked in TV program "Personal View" about the development of the agro-industrial complex in the context of branch science.

"The only stable working branch in Ukraine - is agricultural complex, which is the least sensitive to various crises, including the financial world crises, which reached Ukraine in 2009. Agricultural complex works successfully and has perspectives. Moreover, it gives people employments, jobs and fills the budget ", - commented on Grygorii Kaletnik.

According to his words, agricultural economic sector gave to consolidated budget of Ukraine last year more than 42 billion UAH.

The peoples’ deputy also mentioned that it is necessary to eliminate someone’s interests and elaborate our own strategy for the development of agro-industrial complex. He noticed that we should rely on scientifically grounded policy, because scientists don’t change their position in contrast to “changeable” officials.

"It shouldn’t be so: that an official on various grounds and sometimes even by party affiliation, who was appointed to a high position, should say to scientist what and how to do. He can only give input information, a perspective that should be developed. But which she should become at the stage of completion and which way to go for achieving it, it should be made by the person who has all the necessary information, that is scientist "- noticed Grygorii Kaletnik.
