Speech of Grygorii Kaletnik at the session of the general meeting of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine (NAASU)
During his speech at the session of the general meeting of NAASU, Grygorii Kaletnik drew attention of highly respected scientists on issues that are relevant today for both - agricultural science and agricultural education. Among the issues Grygorii Kaletnik mentioned poor academy financing, low marketing effectiveness of implementation of domestic scientific elaborations into the process of production which are nothing worse from foreign. G.M .Kaletnik also informed all present about legislative initiatives, which are related to the development of the domestic science, including such burning questions as preservation of fertile soil. He drew attention of scientists on the fact that today the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is interested in supporting of agricultural science and education.With this aim, the Committee decided to create 2 scientific - expert councils on specific issues. These councils consist of scientists from NAASU who are involved in the development and expert evaluation of legislative initiatives related to agricultural field of economics.The people’s deputy noted that without the connection of science with production and government agencies it will be difficult for Ukraine to reach 80 million tons of grain or stabilize the cattle breeding industry.
