On 15th September Grygorii Kaletnik took part in the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the foundation of St. Usiknovenskyi Liadivskyi rock male monastery.
On 15thSeptember, Grygorii Kaletnik took part in celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the foundation of St. Usiknovenskyi Liadivskyi rock male monastery. During the meeting he talked to people near exhibition, which was presented at orthodox fair. The banks of the Dniester visited more than 15,000 of believers, not only from the region, but from the different parts of Ukraine, religious communities and clergymen from Moldova, Romania, Russia and the Holy Mount Athos, in Greece.
This is a nationwide holiday in Podilska land, as Liadivskyi monastery is an equivalent to Kievo - Pecherska Lavra .These two monasteries were established by St. Anthonii Pecherskyi. It is probably pleasant to God, that as 1000 years ago ,the Superior of the monastery is Anthonii, who devoted 15 years of his life and strength for the restoration of the monastery.
As a gift, from Grygorii Kaletnik and the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Igor Kaletnik, were presented 2 icons of St. Nicholas and the Blessed Virgin Mary, as well liturgical vestments for the Superior of the monastery.
Grygorii Kaletnik is convinced that Podilskyi Athos, which is placed in such a beautiful place, is a guardian of our faith and will become Mecca for all Orthodox believers.
